Hi, Iīm David, I ride a 2007 hatchback. Iīve been having issues with my car. I all started with a noise that sounds like break pedals ware noise, but not so loud when I engage 1 or second gear. after that it started to give me problems to engage reverse, it doesnīt go all the way in, only like halfway, but know its starting to get difficult to move the shifter, when it move it it feels like theres some resistance to it, It like its needing oil i would say. could it be that I need a new clutch, thatīs what it have hear, but dont know much about cars. could you please help me

how long have you had the car for? How many miles?
it would better help us to give you a better answer once those are clarified.... |

Don't feel too bad, its not uncommon for the 07's to have transmission issues.
My third gear syncho when out at around 27,000 miles. I went to the dealership and demanded a new transmission. Being persistent and firm, I got a new transmission. I hope your transmission doesn't need to be replaced, but if it does, make sure you are still within your warranty and just be firm with the dealership. Most places won't bother fixing individual gear issues.... its cheaper for them to replace the whole part - good luck!

cheapest and probably best problems solvers have been to swap fluids with a full synthetic and run it for a while. something about the gl5 synthetics. i'd put in royal purple or mobil 1, stay away from addatives and 'clutch addatives', just put in some purple 75/90. at 10/qt and about 1.5q needed, 20 bux is way cheaper than a new trans...or a week without your car cuz the dealer wouldnt provide one.

hi, thank u all for your responses, I've had the car for 2 years now, and rode arround 37282.27 miles, something else is that the problem of the drive shaft feeling kind of stuck, like heave or something, is that the problem seems to go away after i've driven for a while.
