Anyone here trim off the sides of the weathertech vent visors?
Hey Peeps,
I just ordered a set of weathertech vent visors, and want to know if anyone, besides myself, is not to happy with the part of the visor that blocks the mirror. The only reason why I chose weathertech over the AVS or any other visor is for the fact that it's light in color and won't give me a blind spot. What should I use to cut off that side piece? A knife? A Dremel? Take it to some shop that deals with cutting plastic? Let me know! |

Send them back and get the Lund / AutoVentShade in-channel vent visors. I was happier with the AutoVentShades when I had a 3-door LB.

Never thought that having a visor will add more blind spot.

There's a part that blocks the mirror? I have a set of the in-channel vent visors from WeatherTech. No complaints from me!

Me? I can see about getting some pics when I get home tonight, provided the snow isn't too bad. I'm about an hour away from my car right now, and that's still another hour away from home. (Long, crazy commute).

I was gonna add some double sided tape to the top. That way, they won't fall off when I'm driving.

I got some sad news. The people at godspeednet.com are gonna refund my money because they are not gonna sell the weathertech visors any longer. It's due to the quality and customer complaints. Oh well I'll guess I'll have to look into the AVS ones.
