TRD springs - installation questions

Hi
I just picked up my TRD springs for my '09 3DR and looking at the installation documentation that came with it, I have a few questions.

The install shows that I need 4 replacement nuts and I should discard the old ones holding in the front springs. Is this necessary?

Where can I get the spring tape? Just ask at a local parts store (I'm in Canada).

I have 17x7 with a 42 offset rims with 205 40 17 tires. Will this setup rub?

Thanks
Chris

You don't need to discard the bolts that came with the yaris and for the spring tape i dont known if is necessary but i don't use it in my springs.

I bought new nuts at the stealership prior to starting the job. They're not expensive.
Later I found those I removed looked identical but put in the new ones anyway.
Regarding spring tape. I don't recall that mentioned in my TRD instructions so never used any. In fact, I've installed lowering springs on several cars and have never heard of the stuff???
Below is the PDF version of the Yaris TRD spring instructions courtesy of Sparks. I see no mention tape.

I was looking at a different TRD spring installation document and it showed tape. I looked more closely this time and the tape is used to protect the coating when compressing the new springs.
I think I found the document on this site.

where did you buy these springs? Just wondering if you have TRD USA springs or Toyota Canada lowering springs which are really Eibach Prokits. Either way, you shouldn't need a spring wrap.

I bought the springs at the local Toyota Dealership in Dartmouth, NS. They were shipped in from Toronto. What is the difference between the TRD USA and Toyota Canada lowering springs? Mine are red if that helps.

TRD springs are red with a 1.25" drop. Toyota Canada springs are black with a 1" drop.
