I'm interested but I don't know if it would fit my 2005 echo. I can't find a part number that is for the echo, but the scion xB is: AEM-21-577
If you can provide the part #, I'll do more research would it be ok to ship via usps to ontario L0k 1A0? Jeff Last edited by 2005rs; 09-10-2010 at 08:55 AM. Reason: additional question |

Great intake, got one used as well for the same price a couple years ago. If I had the funds I'd snap this up in a heartbeat!

It looks like it isn't the part designed for the echo. It may fit, but then again maybe not. Thanks for the info

Does the AEM CAI ever throw a CEL? This was an issue we had with these on 7th gen Celica's back in the day, so wanted to make certain.

No, it didn't throw any CEL's for me. I had it for a few months before I got the supercharger. I loved it, it makes the engine sounds better when you open up the throttle and if you're idling and have the window down, you can hear a "sucking" noise coming from it, it's awesome Oh, and it gives you a few extra poneys too.

Can you not run a CAI with a sc?
Does the sc run better with a SRI setup instead? I didn't notice the Blitz kit coming with an air intake is why I ask. Also, I always thought that these CAI's were very high-flow so I thought maybe it would actually help the sc. Just curious and GLWS! |

Ahhh I see.
What air intake are you running now, if I may ask? Free bumps ftw! |

I don't get it. I am looking at pics and the blitz instructions and the.sc isn't near the cai. That and the blitz instructions say to use the stock air box, which would mean the cai would fit. Call me confused I guess lol. |

Oh, sorry, I didn't notice this until now Let me clear up the confusion.
The S/C kit would run just fine with the CAI, but I bought my kit used, and it was a retrofit from a Scion xB. There are a couple of differences with the xB setup, one being the 3-bolt pattern of the throttle body (vs. 4 in our Yaris) and the position or the intake. So ai am running a bit of a custom intake it's the stock air-box upside down. Because the TB position is shifted by an inch or so, I can't fit the CAI without cutting the pipe and I didn't want to do that. All clear?
