OEM Shock Durability

My yaris is lowered on springs only. Im still running my factory oem shocks.

Since the car is lowered, I assume that my shocks will suffer from more weight and pressure.

How many miles do usually shocks last for? And how long do they last when they have to sustain extra stress given from lowering springs?

Any experienced estimate would be much appreciated. Thanks

I got 26k miles on mine installed trds at 5k miles on stock struts and shocks since then. I noticed the rear shocks showing signs of minor leakage. They dont seem to dampen as much as they did new but they still function and do their job. I think our factory shocks are made by KYb and they have been known to make it to 100k without major issues. So on lowerd car id guess 60k

It looks like you're not shy about throwing money at it so why wait? Upgrade to some hi-po dampers and enjoy the huge handling benefits NOW.
