Help me decide which EMS
its up between the aem fic or the emanage blue. This is just for n/a use btw. Need to advance timing and adjust fuel as best i can. I heard the aem is best for fuel trim but cannot advance timing. The emanage can tho. So which do you deem more important to max n/a power. Gonna do some dyno pulls too so you all can see what the gains are. O and does the ecu just override any of them?

1. you state you need to control fuel and timing.
2. you say the FIC doesn't control timing. can't quite help just yet...

simply question really if you where looking for a ems which of the two would you pick for a n/a application. i am not a tuner. so i dont kno if a finely tuned a/f (aem fic)nets more power over advancing the timing(emanage blue).

I thought emanage blue could only retard timing.

If you love your pocket, the best solution is matching uprated parts but still using stock ecu within limits. If you like words like BIG or AGGRESSIVE or Fully Custom which all leads to MONEY - PATIENCE - PROBLEMS then the ecu is your way to go |

Is it even possible to advance timing with a piggyback? Both the emanage blue and FIC can only retard it.

a good tune. I am sitting at 115 whp right now when i went last week. I have pretty much all the bolt on mods you can have. I heard from a couple of guys that the EMB can advance timing if you have the IGNITION wire set, unless it doesn't work on our cars... |

So you want to spend let's say 800$ (at the very least) which includes ecu, wiring expense and dyno expense for 5Hp okk maybe 10hp ... No way man! Although that is my opinion, the car is yours! |

Ask the place that is going to tune the car. If you trust them, you'll get the right answer.

Wasn't aware of the number of users of either device. Figured with all these boosted guys (20+)there would be more than that. Where I am going to get it tuned they are familiar with both ems but not my car. |

So first question to yourself is: How much do want to spend? That will narrow down your choices. Second question would be: Will I be able to find someone who can tune the EMS I decide to go with? No matter which on you choose if you can use it properly it will be a waste of time & $$$$. |
