Axle nut type/size socket

What kinda socket do I need to remove the nut that holds the axle to the hub?

i recollect using a standard-sized socket on mine, but it was for sure a 12 point. .

It's actually a 30mm 12 point socket. Make sure you have a hefty breaker bar. I broke 2 ratchets before I bought my 3 ft breaker bar.

thanks ctscott, now that you mention it, iirc using a 1-1/4" 12point and a 3/4" impact gun
