Gas prices
Paid $2.68 today. There is speculation as the economy improves and crude oil prices rise that gas could be over $4/gallon by summer.

Wow, Colorado is dirt cheap. It's averaging $3.15 here. Don't want to know what it is in California and NY. $5/gal is quite possible within 2 years.

I'm paying about 6.70$ (converted) for diesel. (and diesel is cheap)
Gas is about 7.80 over here.

Americans whine..because they are not aware of the world IMO. I am happy to pay 3.00 + and I remember when gas was .99 in the 1980s in the us ,so I am aware . Wake up America ! |

It's hovering around $3.30 here in Cali (my area at least). But I know other countries, they're paying the equivalent of around 8 USD, I think.

About the same here in RI. But since most of my family is in England, believe me I know about the prices in the rest of the world. That's why I have a Yaris - in case they catch up to us here in the US...

i'll convert to propane or bio-diesel before i pay more than 4 bucks a gallon. better yet...remove that engine and put an electric motor and a ton of batteries in there. there's a 120v outlet everywhere i go...i think i can do it.
or better yet, get one of those air cars from korea that new york is thinkin about using for taxis. 8 high pressure cylinders under the car, and a air powered motor at each wheel....bad thing is, no heat. |

Just 6 years ago gas was barely over a dollar per gallon down here in miami. I remember filling up my car(miata) with ten dollars...the good ole days.

Unless by barely over a dollar you mean 1.60 and your miata had a 6 gallon tank, I think you mean more like 12 years. 6 years ago was 2005... :o

ive been paying about 1.14CDN per Liter... i dont know how to do the conversion to USD/gal but ive been told we pay more after the conversion.....
i edit this Right now 1 USD is approximated equal to 1 CAD. And 1 gallon is 3.785 L. So, just take the price in Canada and multiply by 3.785 and that should give a general idea so at 1.14 X 3.785 = 4.3149 WOW, so in canada we are paying 4.3149 USD per Gal..... lol, and u guys are complaining

And prices in San Antonio are ranging between $2.83-2.89/gal. Houston's cheaper because all the refineries are out that way. That and no one wants to live there! Cheers! M2

When I got my first car in 1971, I paid 25 to 30 cents per gallon!
If you think the economy is bad now, just wait until gas gets to $5.00 a gallon here in the US. If everyone would give up their gas-guzzling pick-ups and SUV's, gas prices would go down, but it will never happen, especially where I live. |
