underseat tray
hey, I just recently found out that some of you have trays under your passenger seat. I was plannning to make one of these coming out of my passenger glovebox actually, but under the seat would be way sexier. I think i have too many wires there though because of the airbags. Anyway, if anybody can take pics of your tray that would be awesome, it sounds so cool, i really wish i had one.

yeah, there's more then enough space under the front passenger seat for a tray. Too bad I don't have one.
Another good place for a tray is under the rear bench seats. There's also a bit of wasted space down there. |

I googled yaris seat tray and every hit was from non north American Toyota sites. It might be because we have weight sensitive seats that trigger the passenger side airbag. If you ever look under you seat you will see the wiring for it.

I didn't think I'd ever seen this on a North American model, our PT Cruiser had it... one of the very very few neat features on that POS

It was pretty nice. You could fit all sorts of junk in there. Since the seats where on stilts there was tons of room for the big drawer. I even fitted a 10 disc changer under the drivers seat.

here a photo of the under seat tray in taiwan they have them on the yaris, also there can work on north America version since there driving style is like ours. there also a small tray that goes under the steering wheel like this good place for sunglass, stereo remotes etc. Now all that is left is for part numbers. They have alot over there to see more go to http://www.yaris.com.tw/index.asp press enter, skip etc. go to navigation click on the car with the girl in the back seat and then the center button to see all what they have. If you click on the sports version they have the hid lights & housing that will work with our car. just fyi for you guys. |

Dear Vendors...
I want all those little compartments for storage... I love that one under the steering wheel! Get on the ball and start selling them here in the US of A... Come on, anything to make a Buck right? Why is America always left by the wayside when it comes to cars and options??? Thank you, |

That under steering wheel shelf looks nice. You have to wonder why they would leave that out on the U.S. model? When I did my alarm install I noticed there was all sorts of room back there. I can see not wanting to add stuff like the tray to keep costs down but that shelf area wouldn't cost any more to install.
