Question about a part under the hood..

I don't have a picture to show the engine bay of the yaris, but there's a little
box looking piece, that is above the rubber intake tube, it's that piece where on the intake tube it has a little spot where you can put the smaller hose in to keep it in place. Or another way of describing it is if you have an aftermarket air intake, you don't have any place to clip it down anymore and just kind of dangles freely. I wish that I could describe it better. I was curious what the part is and what exactly it does? I believe it's very small plastic square and has two small tubes going into it.

You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

He's talking about the oil return I think. The part that sits right above the intake manifold/air box tube.

I remember when my engine bay was that clean...

That part is the Purge VSV, which is part of the evaporative emissions system. It is a solenoid valve that gets pulsed in proportion to the engine RPMs.
