I love watching his vids, but the guy sucks at the actual rally races.

If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Absolutely right, PK. Unlimited power, tires, cash, and facilities, anyone can look really good.

Things have changed of the last 5 decades: rallyes were time events (no stages, we took care of those our own way), and gymkhanas were on local parking lots (no one had 4wd, and the tires you showed up with would take you home). No roll bars, no helmets, sun, rain, we even had one in a snowstorm! Pavement wasn't always the surface either. Was it more fun? We had fun!
