^What he said. It's not hard to learn. If you can take-off from a stand-still without stalling, then you've already conquered about 80% of the lesson. Also, by driving a manual you now have TOTAL control of your car.
I'll drive anything as long as it's manual, reliable, and low-maintenance. Plus of all the times I've ran the canyons and mountains, I've had way more fun in my manual Yaris than my previous automatic. Also helps me stay awake in crawling traffic...

I agree. Learning to drive a manual is simple.
I'm old enough to remember a time when just about evey car was a standard and even little old women drove a manual...... with no syncros! So, you want fun? GET A MANUAL! Last edited by RedRide; 04-17-2011 at 02:52 PM. |

I have to agree with everyone... Learn to drive manual, you won't want to go back to automatic once you do.

gti with a dsg will be faster than a manual gti or a manual scion tc. scion tc's are super slow stock I out ran one with my jeep cherokee by about 5 car lengths. Fun factor I'd pick the gti over the scion any day with a simple flash you can boost the hp dramaticly.
