There is no temperature gauage.

Just a "Cool" indicator and a "Hot" Indicator.
Eg. When you first start up your car it will show the "Cool" Indicator. Once it warms up, the light turns off and the cool indicator goes away.

When the car's temp is in between Cool and Hot, there is nothing to indicate this.

Highly recommend the ScanGaugeII. I know EXACTLY how hot or cold our Yaris is.

is it really ness? i mean when its cold the light is blue /green, when its normal the light goes away, but when then engine is running too hot the light will turn red?? is this right? i mean i don't want to know exactly how hot the coolant is. i just don't want to crack the block b/c the car is overheating.

Be aware that any temp guage on most modern cars is good for nothing except knowing when the car is up to temp, and when it is over heating. They are designed to stay in the middle position, and only move hotter if there is a serious problem. The cars water temp can fluctuate 30 degrees + without the guage moving at all. The idiot lights on the Yaris accomplish the same thing an OEM temp guage would if the car had one.

That said, an aftermarket guage or scanguage is alot more informative.

Agree with largeorangefont.

In fact, I just ordered an extra cable for my ScanGauge so I can take it along later this Spring when we go across the country pulling our Aframe trailer with our 2006 4Runner.

It will give me a leg up on monitoring things and checking out any codes should a trouble light happen to come on.

$19.95 + $4.95 shipping - not cheap, but making one gauge do double duty is.

I purchased the gauge from these folks, too.
