shoulder belt in the back of a 5dr yaris?

i don't know if the 3drs are like this, too, but...

the shoulder belt hangs on the roof of the car... it looks like it fits in the compartment but i can't get the hook to move?

i'm not sure if i'm explaining this right... should've took a picture but too lazy to get to the garage and snap one...

anybody have a quick answer on cleaning this up? it just looks messy... or can the belt be taken off completely? idunno...

The shoulder belt fits into the little pod and with a little origami imagination it fits quite tidily.

Not sure what you mean by "hook". There are two latches, one for each side of your body. I believe the smaller latch (that goes on the right side of your body) is tucked under the belt, inside the pod, and the main latch (which you use to buckle/unbuckle yourself in last) goes in last and holds the the whole thing inside the pod.
