Do they run it out of gas and then glide it in to land, I couldn't tell?

It looks like the engine stops and they do glide it down for a landing. I'm sure there is a button on the remote to kill the engine. Imagine if that thing got out of control and you lost it in the distance.. |

Hm These turbines are throttled, so landing is not any more difficult than flying the thing. However...
Even faster are the dynamic sailplanes; last speed on radar was 440mph (!), and quite a few guys over 400mph. They are VERY difficult to record, as you can imagine. Even when they DO get it on camera, is is only visible when it turns for its next run. California is the hotbed of this activity. More than 30 years ago, we were running a sailplane at over 200mph, and it took the jet boys a LONG time to pass that mark. Sailplanes don't have the limitations that powered models have. |

Now wouldn't that little jet engine make a GREAT Yaris exaust tip??
Imagine pulling into your next meet-n-greet with that thing shooting out flames spooling about 40,000 rpm's!!! |

40,000? Try three times that! Personally, I can think of other things to spend a grand or more on...
