My new Vitz

Hi, I got this recently imported from Japan. It's a 2006 1.0L 1KR-FE 4-door Vitz, the color is Polar White, it's a U package doesn't have much goodies but works for me. Here are some pictures.

Congratulations!

I don't think I've ever seen a picture under the hood of one with the 1KR-FE. It's so compact that it looks like there's space for two under there.

And, Marcus the air intake is on top of the engine. The little scoop on the left is the input to the intake.

just to the left of the battery you can see the clips so that you can change the filter.

is that a 3 cylinder??? man I wish we could get this in the states. I really miss my geo metro (and yes, I'm serious).

Yup, that's a 3-banger, got the same on my car. It's a great little engine and it was one the lightest engines at its introduction (alu block, only 69 kg/152 lbs w all ancillaries). Can't imagine how it fares with the OP's MM-gearbox though, cause the 69 hp/51 kW are tricky to keep in a nice rev range even with a manual box.
