A realistic price on a custom leather interior?

I own an '11 Yaris 5-door hatchback... I'm not looking for anything over-the-top... just a simple black leather interior...

The thing is... going through some pictures on Lexus's website... I've noticed that on their IS lineup it's not all leather... but what is it? It looks like some mesh sort of interior... does anybody know? I like the fact that it doesn't look all leather...

Here it is on the IS:

And on the IS-F:

Any realistic prices I can expect? And timeframe? I'm sure it varies from place to place...

What you're seeing, at least in the standard IS picture, is leather. It's perforated, and probably that way for the heated/cooled seats.

Unfortunately, no custom leather interior outside of Clazzios is going to be even slightly associable with the word 'realistic', and even Clazzios aren't exactly a few bucks. Custom jobs bring custom prices.

Ahh! Perforated. Got it. It just has a sportier look but since I don't have heated/cooled seats then that's something I wouldn't need. Just liked the look. Damn.

I understand it'll be expensive, but are you saying there's no ballpark estimate?

a custom job? I was quoted $1200 for a Miata....seeing as how the Yaris has two more seats, probably about $2000.

Thanks! Was yours for all-leather? Is it weird to want perforated even though I wouldn't have heated seats?

Locally I was quoted 1k for a cheaper set and then 1200-1500 for better materials and higher stitch count. Hence the reason why I went with the Clazzios from Garm. Also, with the Clazzios I was able to get the right shades to match the current panels in the car.

I have the Clazzios in perforated. I found perforated leather to match and did my door panels with it. I also bought a perforated leather Yaris TS steering wheel from Germany to complete the look. Like fnkngrv said, the Clazzios are about 1/4 the cost of custom and fit so well that they really don't look like covers.

That's about 100% correct.

I have the perforated Clazzios in all vinyl and they look as close to stock as you can get without having them reupholstered.

Not the best picture in the world, as they look much better in real life.

I've had mine on for 2 1/2 years now, and they still look perfect. The only tiny nag was that they are made for 3 dr Yaris, so they have a slit for the seat lever on the upper part of the passenger seat. I sewed it closed before installing it and you wouldn't even know that it was there.

My only complaint is that I haven't found a way to get the cover to tuck in under the levers for moving/folding the rear seats. Other than that, they fit great!

I used a plastic squeegee (the kind for installing glass tint) to tuck mine.

I would look into a different set of seats and rails so that way you could also lower the seat height some. The seats are way too high on the Yaris IMO.

I believe there are threads on here about being able to use Celica seats? I have always been a fan of the Acura RSX seats as well.
