Yaris Reverse Problem - Automatic

Hi all,

Have a Yaris parked on a Very Steep Driveway and the Yaris wouldn't move at all on reverse gear 'Uphill' backup and just couldn't move her out. Ended up driving down slope forward and swing her uphill to get out.

Also, while on road from Stationery on initial gear (Automatic), it tends to have very slow response or pickup. However, once past low gearing, it drives very smoothly.

Where does the problem lies? Someone suggested Fuel Filter but with Yaris, it is maintenance free or built inside the fuel tank. Would that be the Fuel Pump needing a replacement and I hope it is not the transmission.
