Need constant power to the lighter
Is there a way to rewire the light so it has constant power? Sometimes I need to charge my phone when it's parked and the engine or ignition isn't on.

Sure. You need to find a spot on your fuse panel that's live when the ignition off. One way to 'cheat' is to shove a wire into the fuse slot and then push the fuse in to hold it in place. I have seen a fuse with a wire attached for feeding a circuit at the auto parts store. Just pick a non-essential circuit so that your charger can't take out your signal lights.

You might want to check with CTScott, as he is the electrical guru for the Yaris.
However, also check out a posting he made recently: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...17&postcount=2 It has a link to his remote start DIY, and I believe it shows a constant 12V power on the fuse block as mentioned by 2005rs above. |
