When I saw the headline for your thread, I thought about the article I uncovered (The Affordable 60 MPG Monster) while 'reading/pondering/posting to' carolinablue's 'For the price of a Prius...' thread (see my post #62 on that thread for the URL for the 'Affordable 60 MPG Monster' article). The same day that I located that 'Monster' article, I also found a very detailed Prius C video on YouTube. That video is 26+ minutes long and covers the interior of the car and how most systems work from the driver's perspective with great detail given to the audio system. The car is parked during the filming of that entire video. The video you just provided the link to in your post is the perfect compliment to the video I described. The video you linked to is also 26+ minutes and covers the driving experience vs the other video's interior experience.
I remember that on some other thread Why? mentioned that to get the maximum efficiency from driving a Prius requires an entirely different driving style than most Americans are used to. I thought about this comment many times while I was watching the video you provided the link to. I think the reviewer's suggestions re driving style would definitely help re MPG. I also seem to remember that someone posted the Prius C sales figures (up to the point of the post) to a Yarisworld thread and that the figures showed the Prius C was 'getting off to a very fast start' in the U.S. market.

You're right, the reviewer didn't use any 55+ MPH limit roads. I wonder how much his MPG would have dropped if he had included such a road and had stayed in the slow lane? He got a bit over 70 MPG (70.2 or 70.4, I can't remember which) on the route he drove for the video.

Looks like he might have updated it . Now claims 52.75 at interstate / highway speeds and 57.8 combined . Here's the revamped review , http://www.mpgomatic.com/2012/07/05/...rius-c-review/ . Some reason the 2013 Scion FR-S pops up at the original address posted above . Why ? .

I watched the video on the new link yesterday or the day before and I think the video is the same, but he did quite a bit of updating on the text. Thanks for the update.
