Piston Top Club

So this random thread is Garms fault.....

Just a random thread to see how many people (and how small of a club it really is) have actually seen the tops of their Pistions on their Yaris?

If possible show pics of Piston tops with aprox driving length (metric or imperial)

Seriously hoping that I only join this club out of curiosity and not out of necessity.

For the record, this is one club I really wish I wasn't a member of lol.

My recently acquired cynicism from all the trouble I've been having made me want to vote 'this is stupid,' but I'll be a good sport.

Here's what your valves look like when you're misfiring on all four cylinders every 2 seconds

Other than a cylinder misfire, are there any other reasons one would end up joining this club? I havent seen mine, but i am also kinda hoping i never have to.

Well, the stock internals on the 1NZ can handle 8-9 psi of boost all day long however once you start to get to 11/12 it has been found that it could be as little as a few months before the rods cannot handle the pressures and bend. In my case I spiked to somewhere between 25-30psi from the flapper arm on the then current internal wastegate at 1800rpm which in turn put 8 holes in my block and upper oil pan sub assembly

This rod was dynoed at 197whp at 12 psi of boost 2 days before it bent and hit the cylinder wall. It started my rebuild.
