HELP ME PLZ

Hi People.

I'm in the UK and took del of my Yaris T Spirit back at the launch here in April last year.

Some time ago I noticed what I thought was hire tire wear on the front tires, took into my local dealer and they said hmm, nah, your still legal should be fine.

Anyways, this Friday just gone it was time for the first service 10,000 miles or one year. First and foremost I had asked them to look at the tire wear as I now appear to be on the wearbar indicators!!!!!!! give you the idea, the car has done 9918 ODO. Second, Im asked them to investigate a "clicking" when on full lock.

To my not suprise, they have decided that, and this is as per the service sheet!

N/S & O/S Outer CV Joints Noisy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - So I'm booked in for them to be replaced up the warrnty.

But this was the figs for tire wear!

Front left - Inner 3mm - Middle 3.5mm - Outer 2mm
Front Right - Inner 3mm - Middle 3mm - Outer 1.6mm
Rear Left - I 5mm - M 6mm - O 5mm
Rear Right - I 5mm - M 6mm - o 5mm

So the tires on the back fine and dandy, but the fronts are well, you can guess the term I waan use.

I asked the dealer why this might be the case, here was the responce;

Do you check your tires pressures? Erm yeah!
It could be if you carrying a lot of weight.......... Erm, no its just me!
It could be how you drive!............erm its a 1.3 Yaris and I live in the city!!!!!!

All they have offered to do is send the tires away for examination AFTER i have replaced the tires and paid for them of course.

Im not a tech guy, but could the CV joint problem be causing a tire wear issue? if not any other suggestions.

To make matters worse, I then explained to them that until 2 years ago, I actually used to work for Toyota here in the UK as a Head Salesmen at the competitor dealership......... no explanation as to the tire wear, just get your hands in your pockets and buy new tires!

So a reminder, that a set of front tires worn at less than 10,000 miles, somethings not right i think!

Cheers I look forward to your replies
