T-Sport for US: any news lately?
I've been poking around a bit, and it seems that, other than parts listings, the T-Sport has kinda' dropped out of the news around here. I found one website that mentioned the T-Sport being available in the US for '08... has anyone else heard anything about future availability?
I really dig the 1.8l (love the one in my Vibe). ~YR

Hmm, I'll take this as a resounding "no".

I wanted one too, then I realized it will get worse mpg and cost more, and instead of trying to make the yaris fast, save money, and buy a faster car later? Also the TS will prob have worse insurance. still be interesting though, if it was coming, then maybe I would reconsider.

The reason I'm interested is that the 1.8 manual Pointiac Vibe (Matrix) is rated around 35-37mpg highway. That's still pretty decent mileage, but with nearly 130hp. Now translate that to a car half the size, and it should still get great mileage with much more oomph. Theoretically, of course. Not worried so much about the insurance (I'm 30 now, with a pretty clean record).

The 1.8lt is way TOO expensive and not at all fast...
