we need to be the charter members for a "guys-who-detail-their-girls'-car" club. our women are indeed very lucky. i guess the sex more than makes up for our "hard" work...

Thanks, glad to be here. Our girls are indeed very lucky. Her car is gorgeous when it's clean. I cleaned my car today too, pic below. We have a thing for black cars I guess. Have to wash them often, but they are so sexy when they are clean! No color on a washed car can hold a candle to black.

Hahaha. I do intend to get black wheels with a chrome lip, but with paying for the wedding later this year I think I'll wait until next spring to get those. Money money money. The spending never ends.

no shit! thats a full-detail. you can get away without using the clay bar most of the time, but it is handy when there is a build-up of dirt and grime on your paint. paint cleaner is also a step that can be omitted most of the time. i use the clay bar and meguiar's medium cut paint cleaner twice a year, to remove swirls and light scratches. for a decently quick detail job, just wash, polish and wax. and remember, even the most expensive wax/sealant will last at best 10 weeks. so when people used to say wax your car twice a year, your car was pretty much left unprotected for about 30 weeks. if you got the time, try to polish and wax every season...

ps: i always detail (full or quick) using a machine polisher, the porter cable 7424. but many here have used products like turtle wax ice, which is a million times easier to apply than the stuff im using, which is mostly meguiars. seems like with the ice, you can wax your car everytime you wash it! just some shortcuts to look for..

as long as you don't use something with silicone in it your safe
silicone will give you really hard time when you have to do a touch up or have a piece repainted.

Freaking nice shiny car btw!

i'm washing my car once a week, sometime twice a week, i'll wash it again after the rain, because i don't want no acid rains stick in my car.

Is it ok if i wax it every month? is it gonna kill my cleat coat?
I can't stand to see my car dirty and not shining.
