Quick electrical question
I've changed nothing electronic in my car at all, yet from day one I feel a small shock when touching the door while exiting.
Anyone else get this? Is it normal? |

I get shocks too. But I'd rather get shocks than drag around one of those fugly anti-static straps from the bottom of the car!!

Most likely the rubber soles and the carpet. I have heard carzy stories about people blowing up the gas tank from static electricity when filling up. Be careful.

OK, so then this is normal for this car? And it is static? Hmm must be the stuff the seatcovers are made of. |

yes the seat fabric creates a lot of static. My van has leather no shock from that. Violin, you have leather is the shock gone?

I get my mail on the way home and always manage a blue sprark from key to lockbox. Sounds like static electricity to me as well.
