gasket
I was told that the gasket/washer for a new transaxle drain plug was 90430-18008 part no.Toyota.
But when I ordered it the Toyota website changed it automatically to 90430-A0003 DRAIN PLUG GASKET This should be an aluminum flat washer. I dont want a steel one. can anyone confirm that is is the right one and aluminum?? |

90430-18008 is what was correct for both AT and MT and was aluminum. It was indeed replaced by 90430-A0003, which is steel.
Dorman 095-149 is an equivalent in aluminum.

I don't think so, which is likely why Toyota changed to steel.

I got my stuff from Toyota Parts and the 90430-A0003 washers are aluminum, not steel.
I also changed to hex head plugs and it is better. What I really need now is a detailed pictorial on removing the trans for new bearings and a new clutch. |
