led strip 2007 Yaris

I have 2 12'' led strips(12 volt for computer case)

These will be going above foot area.

I know these can be used in a car.I have lots of electrical experience but not with cars.

Where can I get 12 volts easily besides directly from battery.

I will be adding a toggle switch aswell. Thanks.

Not sure if you ever found an answer for this. You should be able to find 12v at the ignition switch. You CAN tie into 12v constant, but I would suggest pulling form ACC which SHOULD be a white wire at the ignition switch. You can also get an ACC output at your cig lighter if you're not comfortable messing around with or pulling apart the steering column. That way, when you shut the car off, you don't accidentally forget to turn your LED switch off.

Edit: almost forgot to add that you might want to consider fusing your power wherever you pull it from just to protect the wiring in case of a short. Also, if you pull power from your cig lighter, pay attention to how much current your LED strip pulls. Your cig lighter isn't going to have more than a 10a fuse on it which should be plenty for your lights, but if you're running anything else like an inverter off your cig lighter, you're going to run up to that 10a pretty easily since 10a at 12v is only 120 watts. If you happen to have a laptop plugged into an inverter, you're looking at 90w easy.

you can get the blue and pink (or white) wire from the underdash junction box--these are the source of the 12V for the dome lights, blue is constant 12V, pink is door activated ground. the white/blackstripe is constant ground.
