Dream Vitz
My gal came home and asked me, if she gave me $100,000.00 what kind of car would I get? - rule was I couldn't get another classic car, She's got enough of mine to deal with. So, jokingly I said I would do the following.
Import a 1.3 turbo Vitz All wheel drive from Japan, 5 door of course. Import the 1.8 engine and put on all the goodies you can think of to make it a 300 to 400 hp time attack car for the road and the track. Roll cage, Bride seats, the works. I started off jokingly, but I've been dreaming of this ever since for the past 3 days now. I know this is overkill, but it's in my head and I can't stop thinking about it!!!!!! Would anyone like to see such a beastly creation come alive? It would be the ultimate Mini, WRX, Mitsu killer. AWD, 1.8litre, turbo........memories of the old Renault 5 turbo 2 - the killer chipmunk.....

Already once dreamed of such...
Florida does this Millionare Raffle dealie... Been thinking of what i would do with either 1,000,000 100,000 or 10,000... 267 people win in all 1;5,200 chance of winning something. Either way you look at it, were talking about: Turbo/Internals Clutch Kit Coils Nicer Rims(stronger and lighter) Or try and get a hold of a 160hp Corolla motor, then work on that babe. Would love to see a 250-300hp Yaris... So if I call ZPI in a month or two, you know what happened! Definatly would buy another vehicle for on the side though. Keep the miles off mine.

The 4WD drivetrain has not made its way to the higher power 1.5 litre manual versions. So I have doubts it can reliably take 1.8 litres, with a horsepower increase at that.
Of course, if you are prepared to rip everything out and beef everything up, then you can throw that out of the window. However there is more to a 4WD drivetrain than just 4 driven wheels, there is also the tricky diffs that the good cars like WRX and Evos handle the way they do. It would definitely be one cool Yaris though. |

yes, the dream car would basically be a shell and alot of the drive train would be modified. I remember in the 80's Rod Millen took an RX7 and converted it to AWD to compete against the Audi Quattros. Very cool one off car.
Right now, i'm content for working on my 1.5 FWD and having fun with it. realistically I don't think $100 g would be enough LOL.
