17" rims + noticable power loss????

I'm going to replace ,my 15" steel wheels soon, and I was looking at some rims that were 17" and just about 17lbs ea. I would like to hear from the people who have already put 17's on their cars. Do you have a noticable drop in acceleration or is it more of a "if it's not hooked up to dynometer you won't notice it" situation. Any personal experiences would be appreciated.
