MSN mention

Just a little mention on Yaris sales doubling this year in the US.

http://autos.msn.com/advice/article....1=10162&vv=450

Amazing the MSN ratings for Yaris/Fit.....expert 7.0/8.5 and user 9.4/9.2....wish MSN would recognize that real people don't agree with their experts!

Not surprising really. Most of Edmunds reviews are the same way. The people driving the cars usually rate them higher than the editors. I can't ever remember it being the other way around. Right now Edmunds readers rate the Yaris at 9.4. The editors have not done a test yet but you can bet it will be lower.

Yeah I've notice that about most cars. The users rate them higher than the editors, go figure! Duh! People aren't that stupid also they have them as daily drivers not a 30 min review. That's why I preferr reading from the people themselfs cause its more accurate and I can guage how the general public likes or dislikes a certain car.

Yaris could reach 100k! That's cool! Maybe it will signal to Toyota to bring over some goodies! And add some colors at least for the liftback.

Look on it from the other side - some people feel that they have to justify their purchase decision by not criticizing the choice they have made, that is why they rate it better than a reviewer who goes through several cars in a month. In the same grain the reviewer has a better idea of what else is out there, whereas we hardly spend enough time in the other cars other than our own.

No, I would call that difference as the Yaris being more endearing to their owners than the Fit, that difference is the emotional worth.
