You can get that in America too, looks like a Seibon carbon fiber front lip. There about $300.

Second set for me. Eagle "hammerheads", 15x7 not sure on offset. Think its +15 but there aren't marking. No center caps and they need a lil refinishing but i got em for $200. Will take better pics when weather clears up and it gets washed. Also planning on putting my 8mm spacers back on the rear.

Don't think that I posted up the 18" XXRs that I bought from Orlando in this thread. I was missing the inserts, but they will be installed this upcoming summer when I have them installed:

Had them on up to winter. Right now I am rockin a set of steelies that I bought from Garm. The white DXRs I have are going to be blasted and redone once I can find a place to get them done in New England. The 18s roll really nice at the LSRs and give me an additional 4" per rotation which gives me of course better top end, but they are 50lbs a corner with rubber as opposed to the DXRs are only around 37lbs with rubber.

Badass. Love 'em. I've always loved hammers. IF they're +15 they must rub like crazy.
Like the front lip, too.
^ That's definitely not +15, my guess would be +30.

Anybody have any experience with, or opinions on the H&R Sports Springs???
I have looked at all 57 pages on here and saw ONE person list them, and while I know it is for WHEELS, it is the best place to see which springs people are running and what they look like.
If I decide I want a slightly larger drop than the Eibach Pro's, how are the H&R's??? Ride quality, etc? I don't see them used very much on the Yarii here.
The Eibach Sportline is just a little too much of a drop for my needs (though they look amazing), but the Pro's might be a little too little.
Thanks!

I still think they are +25 or +30ish. Here's a few sets I've ran in the past..

H&R is a good reputable company, but not sure what to tell you other than that. I guess the real question is how did you like what you saw on the ones installed?

^Remember I am running -1 degrees and -2 degrees front and rear respectivly. They aren't 30 though, bc I trimmed the front inner gaurd and removed the rear inner gaurd and it never rubbed on either with +38 offset and now front and rear rubs. Same exact suspension setup and same tires, but these rub front and back.
Ah okay, couldn't tell you had camber - I've never ran camber on the Yaris. Just looked like alot of room to have on your +15's as mine poked like crazy at +10.
Next time you have them off you should measure the offset. :)

Just put on the Rota Panasport replicas today...
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b90/compost_bin/car/IMG_5935.jpg
They're 15x7 +35 and didn't clear the front disc brake rotors so I put on some thin 5mm spacers and now they work fine. the tires are 195/R60 Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position. I got that size because their diameter is only 1% different from the stock 175/65 tires, so the accuracy of the odometer and speedometer stay reasonably true.

Just got it yesterday. 17" Drag DR19 Silver. Tire are 205/45r17. I'm thinking of getting Megan Springs. What do you think guys?
how low do you want to go? Do you track or auto x? Is adjustability required (that would mean coilovers)?
I had ksport springs before I got my coilovers and I loved them. One of the biggest drops out of springs for the Yaris. They were progressive too so not as stiff on smooth roads, only when compressed a large amount would they really get stiff.

He said they were copies in his description. I have inexpensive Rota copies of high end 1960's Panasport racing wheels. You can get expensive looks for a cheap price from Rota.
Thats not what I am saying. I have no issue with rep wheels, not all of us can afford the real thing. What bothers me is people trying to badge their fakes as authentic. He rides around with wheels that are now labeled as if they are real. Its a pet peeve and we can tell they are not legit Volks.

Hey 12yaris, we have been looking for someone to make a sedan eyelid you think you might want to undertake a project like that?
12 yaris
08-09-2012, 10:26 PM
Guys and Gals,
This really quite simple.I have seen eyelids for the sedans,I believe they do
not cover the top of the head-light surround the way I would like them too.
Anyone who has read my posts should know I have messing with cars for 35 years, paint work, restoration, cosmetic modifications, etc.
A good portion of todays cosmetic mods are simple peel and stick if you will,
another persons idea...
I strive( and always did)to come up with my own ideas,(you would be surprised what you can do with lead filling, plastic body filling etc)...
I admire George Barris, among others for their visions of customized vehicles.
What I did with my head-lights and tail-lights you can do also.In order to do this you first need the attitude,Do I want my car to look like anybody else's?
This is what I did,I purchased pin-strip tape and made my own designs on the headlights, then I masked off areas that I did not want painted, then I
simply painted the lights, peeled off the tape to see if I liked the results.
If I didn't fine I removed the paint with laquer thinner.
When I finally found what I wanted I sanded the headlight with 1500 paper so the paint would adhere used pin-stripe tape for the design, masked, cleaned the area to be painted and painted the base color
then cleared.
Then I thought about the tail-lights,they sure look hideous on the 12's
I saw that some were available for 500-600 bucks.I choose not to spend a
nice chunk of change on something that someone else might purchased,so I did the same thing for my tail-lights and saved about 450-550 bucks...
So far this is the only blue-lagoon mica Yaris I have seen...
I really do not want to capitalize on this,I would like to see people come up with your own ideas.
Dare to be different, use your imagination...
O I didn't realize you just painted the lamps

Finally got a chance to take some pictures today. Here's mine with CSA Velocity 17x7.5 ET42 with 205/40-17. I'm riding on M2 springs/tokico blues, lowered about 1.5". Very minor rub on hard corners and big improvement in handling over the 185/60-15s.

There is a dent in the lip, but they dont leak air and cause no vibrations at highway speeds. I am using those stricly as track rims now. I got 2/32" tread left on those RS-3's also and trying to get as many Autocross events as possible before the cords start showing. Just dont have the cash to throw down on a new set of tires yet.. I do, but something is always coming up that I can't get them.. I want a DD set of rims either in a 17" or 15-16" with a nice lip like 20-25 offset.. perferably red though.
Yea Derrick I wana do the same. I have my stanced road setup already now I'd like to get a track/performance set.
Tan I hope you kept the xxrs for non winter mode.

Thank you guys !, i would love to lower our Yaris but the problem is i would like to use the car year round and since i live in Canada...here we can get snow up hight to the mirrors....no kidding ! , not to mention that once the winter is over (...about early June:eek:) got to watch out for the potholes the size of craters and i don't think Yaris is built to takle lunnar type lundscape...i do have another vehicle i can use (a Honda Pilot) but i love the fuel economy of the Yaris.......:headbang:.
Thank you !
Dan
where did you get those 165/45/16 tires ,Phil ? what brand are they ?
I got em from a local buddy who rode on em for maybe 3 miles and didn't want them. You can also get them from tunershop.com for 178/ tire or BFI for 228/ tire or you can find some overseas that are willing to ship. It takes a long time and its risky but they're about 500 for a full set.
They're Nankang NS2 XL best stretching tire out there. Since they're thin they have a really well designed rain friendly tread pattern.

I'm pretty new to this but I have some questions. I have a 2010 yaris sedan and I would like to put some xxr rims on it, 17x8 in front and 17x9 in the back. What wheel spec is good? I would also like to slam it as much as possible without having to roll the fenders, what suspension is recommended?

Plan is to get some lighter wheels as soon as I can dump these....so if you live around Houston, TX, drop me a PM fi you are interested.

go with 15" wheels and tires is you want to drop it. 17" wheels cause rubbing on lowered Yari.

If you don't want to roll fenders, don't go with 8" and 9" widths. Also, for those widths, you're going to want to get a little stretch in your tires to get some forgiveness on your fenders. Definitely don't go with 17's - the tire size choices just aren't there to do that.
16's are about the same way to be honest, although a 195/45/16 or 195/50/16 would stretch nice. With 15's you'd have plenty of choices, wheel-wise and tire-wise.
Now if you're willing to roll your fenders, and add a little camber, disregard anything I said above. You can run about anything as long as you're willing to accomodate the size.

I lowered it with springs right now and I wasn't sure on how far it would settle, I have dropped other vehicles and gotten a much larger drop than advertised.
I also plan on putting on coilovers soon and taking her lower. Rubbing is a concern of mine. My wife loves the turning radius and doesn't want to compromise that aspect. Its her car, but its my toy.

I had a set of 205/40/17 I really didn't like them cause the ride was hard and you fill every bump in the road. I recently got new tires I went with 205/45/17, so much better!
The ride is so much smooter and you don't feel the road the bumps anymore. I do rub just a liitle bit if I'm going to fast on dips, over all I like my new size of tires.
