So I finally got Bamboo and he is enjoying my vacation to the California coast with me!

Then we decided to eat at her favorite Mexican hole in the wall .... it was amaze-balls!

Bamboo was SOOOO tired from his long journey that he fell right asleep once we got to Montery!

The next morning Bamboo got started nice and early with a Starbucks coffee ( a little birdie told me that he loves Starbucks like me)

Then we went to some of the shops in monterey while we waited for our reservation .... Bamboo found this and asked me why anyone would want to light a panda on fire?!?!? it took a lot of explaining on my part.

Finally we got our table at the restaurant for breakfast and Bamboo was soo hungry that I had to stop him from jumping head first in the food when it came!

We rented a Surrey and went up and down the bike path (for a whole hour!)
Bamboo had the best seat .... notice that they are no pedals for his seat .... although he did offer to trade seats with me!

I've got at least another hundred to post! lol .... sorry for my radio silence everyone and the delay on pic posting .... when I got home from Cali the internet was down and Comcast didnt fix it till after I left for IA .... then the hotel I stayed in that had 5ft tall banners saying free wifi didnt deliver in that aspect as the "free"Wifi was down the entire weekend and the Ditsy desk clerk had no solution for me!... i guess you get what you paid for ..... Darb contacted me early this week and said that he would be visiting New Haven, CT this weekend for a wedding and wanted to pass Bamboo to me during his visit. Tonight we met in New Haven for the pass.

We had already had dinner before meeting up with Darb, so we skipped right to desert at Libby's, where Bamboo enjoyed a cup of Espresso and some grape and banana Italian ice (and my 8 year old daughter shared a bit of her lime and cheery Italian ice with him):

Darb warned us that Bamboo was in dire need of a bath, so as soon as we got home bamboo hit the spinny bath tub. After his bath, he visited with my daughter's stuffed animal collection and tried to talk the little French bear into letting him take a spin in the Renault F1 car:

When we were at Libby's the waiter asked my daughter "What's the story with your bear who is wearing a bathrobe with lots of buttons?" She recited the Bamboo the YarisWorld Traveler story and then afterward turned to me and said "Dad, why is Bamboo wearing a bathrobe, and why doesn't he have something to show that he is from YarisWorld?" These were good questions, that we continued to debate on the drive back from New Haven to Southbury. My 12 year old daughter suggested that we make Bamboo a more appropriate outfit for his visit, so when we arrived home, the sewing machine came out and Bamboo worked feverishly to make himself a YarisWorld shirt. We were quite impressed with the results:

That's what I was thinking. I didn't wash the robe, since it is so much work to remove all of the pins. So, that can travel around with him to collect the memorabilia and then he's a bit more mobile and east to clean with the T-shirt.

Today, Bamboo spent some time with Crashy. First he used the 12 ton hydraulic ram to help straighten out the A and B pillars a bit. This winter Crashy is hoping to have a windshield, so her right side needs a bit of tweaking to allow one to be mounted:

So, Bamboo's had a busy week. Last week my new 2011 Tacoma arrived, so he had to check it out:

so, my car decided to be needy lately.

in the last week, i have put in a new cv axle, two new lower ball joints, and a timing belt.

pulling old parts out, the comment was made of all three sets, independently, that the parts were all on the verge of failure. guess i got lucky, so i am buying a lottery ticket tomorrow.

on a different note, the car turned 150,000 today(ironically enough, literally right as the car got parked for the timing belt)

bamboo supervised, but i was unable to get any pictures, as my hands were filthy.
