View Full Version : The Official Toyota Thailand Accessories Order Thread

We have many official accessories over here for the Yaris Liftback and Sedan, and I am more than willing to act as an agent for you guys so you can get all the cool stuff we have
Please be sure to read the following IMPORTANT INFORMATION first:
Compatibility
Interior: Our Yarii here are Right Hand Drive (RHD), while in the US, Canada and Europe they are Left Hand Drive (LHD). As a result some interior accessories like floormats may not fit properly in a LHD car.
Exterior: The difference between North American and Thai Liftback Yarii is the rear bumper. Due to stricter crash restictions, you have a deeper rear bumper, and as a result exterior accessories like rear mudguards or skirts will not fit. Sedans are not affected by this.
Paint: Exterior accessories are offered non-painted or pre-painted. I highly recommend you go for the non-painted items and get them painted there. Even if the paint codes match, there is no guarantee that the paints themselves will be identical. That being said, exterior accessories here are only offered in black and two shades of silver. The black should be a match to the LB's black in the US (color code 209), and the darker silver should be a match to the LB's Meteorite Metallic (color code 1F8). As I said, I cannot guarantee in any way that if you buy a pre-painted item, it will match your actual paint.
Shipping
To minimize shipping costs, we will do this along the group buy model. That is, I will take orders for a certain amount of time, and then all items will be joined in as few individual shipments as possible, as this reduces shipping costs. Then, for the members in North America, these packages will be sent to vodkalush, who will unpack your individual orders, and send them your way. For members in other areas, Europe, Australia, Central and South America, Middle East, I want to follow the same system, but because there are potentially less people, your shipping costs may be higher.
As we will not be able to calculate exact shipping costs per member until everything is shipped, I will take a 20% advance deposit from each order to out toward shipping. So, for example, if you buy a $100 item, I will bill you $120. Once your order has been reshipped, we will know exactly how much it has cost, and the remainder will be refunded to you. This way, I can work out the most cost-effective and fastest way to ship, based on this budget.
Ordering and Payment
To order, you can either send me a PM with what you'd like and your email address.
I'll then send you a Paypal invoice, and you can make the payment at your leisure, before the deadline.
If for some reason you cannot use Paypal (it's not supported in all countries), we can also use moneybookers.com , it's not as convenient but supports all countries.
I think this covers it all, sorry to be so long-winded, but it's better to lay out all the facts first
Now, onto the actual items:

I think for this first round we'll set the ordering deadline to the end of the month (30th), and the payment deadline a week after that (7th of May). It should then take me about a week, maybe two, to get all the stuff, pack it properly, and ship it.
All right, let's get this thing started!

It's not available as a standard accessory, so I can't get it just yet. Maybe after this round of orders I'll have a bit more clout with the dealership and we'll be able to work something out with them.

Alright Last question... You might not know... but,
The size and Location of the Center Consol...
I drive a Manual Yaris with TWM Short Shifter... and I need my Center Consol to be at just the right level for me to put my Elbow on it and shift...
I know with the US factory "Arm rest" is way too high to shift...
What is the Center Consol like? Does it fit well?
eTiMaGo
04-18-2007, 11:08 AM
I used to have it on before I changed my seats. I'm not a very tall guy, but I found it to be too low to function effectively as an armrest, it's really just meant to be a storage compartment.

hey Thomas, what about the spoiler for the sedan in the closest color to flint mica? and one more question, it shouldn't be too hard to install, right?
eTiMaGo
04-18-2007, 02:15 PM
The closest color would be black, but it's really up to you if you want it to be mis-matched, or get it painted when you receive it.
Installation of the sedan spoiler will probably require you to drill some holes in your trunk, so it's not for the faint-hearted unless you get some help

04-18-2007, 02:28 PM
does that apply to the LB spoiler as well? I have a 5dr LB version, in case that makes any difference...
eTiMaGo
04-18-2007, 02:34 PM
Yes, if you do not already have a mini spoiler there, you will need to make holes for the new one to attach.
tk-421
04-18-2007, 05:02 PM
Ah well... :iono:
All good things should require some amount of effort.
I believe I am in for a nice Thai spoiler. Now I just want to be 100% sure on the color issue. I drive a MetMet Yaris, although I'm seriously considering getting a black wing, since I'm thinking it could look pretty sick with the smoked tails that I'm about to put in place of the stock ones, as well as the black 17's that will find their way into my car in a couple of months.
Suggestions, anybody?
Also, I'd like to know how much it would be for shipping to Mexico City, which I suspect should be quite a bit more than my friends above the border. :drinking:
eTiMaGo
04-19-2007, 12:21 AM
Though I suppose you could epoxy or superglue the wing on if you're lazy and don't mind it falling off when you are driving
Meteorite metallic's paint code is a match to the medium silver we have here, but as I mentioned earlier, I can't guarantee the paint itself would be an exact match.
But, going with a black spoiler could be cool!
For the shipping, I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper to go through the US than me shipping straight to you. Of course, it would be best if you could find other people there to order stuff, then the shipping can be split.
Kaotic Lazagna

exactly how hard is drilling through the trunk? and would i need to paint the holes to prevent rusting?

Oh, the sarcasm! :bellyroll:

I guess I'll get it unpainted from you if I don't go for the black... Thx for the heads up!
But, going with a black spoiler could be cool!
Means a lot from a guy w/such a nice car... :respekt:Still, I'm still not sure about it. I guess I just don't want the smoked tails to stand out too much. The other option could be to just go with some faded dark gray vinyls or something...
For the shipping, I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper to go through the US than me shipping straight to you. Of course, it would be best if you could find other people there to order stuff, then the shipping can be split.Unfortunately (or maybe not), there's not a lot of people over here with the Yaris yet, so things like meets and such are out of the question for now. Don't worry, though... I'm kinda used to the shipping costs by now, and I'll be ready to shell out the $$$ when the time comes. Thx again!

eTiMaGo
04-23-2007, 11:27 PM
if your paint code is 209, it should be a match. But like I mentioned at first, I can't guarantee the paint will be an exact match between our countries, but it should be close enough.

Could I get the LED side mirrors unpainted in case the paint codes don't match 100%? (I have MetMet color BTW)
How much would shipping to Mexico City for each of the following items cost?

eTiMaGo
04-30-2007, 04:01 AM
The mirrors are only available painted, so you could always get the black painted ones?
As for wiring, it would just be a matter of fishing the wires down the front quarterpanel and splicing them with the side blinker's cabling, which is probably easier said than done. I'll get a pair myself, and will video the shop dude installing them

eTiMaGo: Getting ready to order... Just need to know a few things:
Have you seen any differences between the replica Modellista clear tails and the real deal as far as you can tell? - The silver side part is chrome on the replicas, but has more of a brushed look on the originals
Could I get the LED side mirrors unpainted in case the paint codes don't match 100%? (I have MetMet color BTW) - They only come painted, but as there's no direct contact between painted parts, any small difference should not be noticeable
How much would shipping to Mexico City for each of the following items cost?
Modellista tail lights
LED side mirrors
Rear bumper stepguard
Muffler cutter (stylish)
Manual pedal set
I'll still take a 20% deposit for the shipping, but since there's quite a few items which I think can fit in a modest-sized box, it should be more than enough to cover the actual shipping cost, so I'll refund you the difference.

Yeah the non-standard colors are going to be a problem, I've done some checking up on this, I'd basically have to buy 100 sets of each for them to custom paint them from the factory. So, I could get the shop where I'm buying them to paint them, as they also do some fiberglass bodywork, but once again, a lot of the "made in japan" Yarii's paint codes are just not available here, and I do not think the workshop would be able to make a good match if they don't have a reference.
So, I've made this little chart to help you identify the available colors, and what would be a closest match to your color:
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/mirrorcolorchart.gif
The paint codes in BOLD are an exact match, and I've put what would be the closest match for some other colors. The closest match colors may look good, they may look mis-matched, there's no way to know right now. If you have one of those mis-matched colors, you should try to get the closest one, and if it does not look good, I guess your best choice would be to have them re-painted locally.
Or, you could try for the black or light silver ones for a bit of contrast, but that's really up to you:
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/bayoublack.jpg
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/blazingsilver.jpg
As for shipping, basically what I will use will depend on the shipping budget I've collected (the 20% I am charging, basically). If that si enough to cover express shipping, then express shipping will be used, if not, I will need to use a slower, cheaper method.

I don't have any more pictures, but the cluster can be screwed in place, through the back of the driver side glove box door. As for the included tach and gauges, they're really some cheapie ones, I would not recommend them. I could not get a size of the gauge mounting holes but will confir once I pick up the goods from the shop.
I am still trying to figure out if the single, or duel outlet exhaust tip would look better on my LB?
Personally I'd say go with the single one, the dual tip just looks kinda out of place in my opinion. Look up Razr's ride in the YarisGarage, he has the dual tip ones, it should give you a better idea.

I don't see why it would not fit on the liftback, the tips are attached by screws. Although, I am not 100% sure, but I think the sedan tip has "VIOS" engraved on the top (The Yaris one says TOYOTA)

All right guys, it's time to officially close this round.
What will happen now, I will withdraw the total for these orders from my paypal account, and once I receive it (3-4 days), I'll head right over to the Toyota dealership and the accessories shop (they want the money up front...), and place the orders, which should hopefully be this Friday.
From then, it should take about 5 days for them to get all the stuff, so I ought to have it all in hand by Wednesday 23rd. Give me a few days to get everything packed up and it should be shipped out of Bangkok on Friday 25th at the latest.
I'll know the exact shipping costs later when I have all the boxes to measure and weigh, but there should be enough in the shipping budget to use one of DHL's slower shipping methods, so we may be looking at 2 weeks shipping time until it all gets to vodkalush, but I'll confirm that later. Then, he'll just have to unpack my boxes and saunter over to the post office to re-ship them
And, as of this day, we start round 2 of orders, I'm hoping we can do one round per month, what do you all think?

But i saw on the offical Burnout site, they only came up with a lip kit for it, so does this mean the Vitt burnout kit is only for thailand?
eTiMaGo
05-18-2007, 07:19 AM
Actually, from what I understood of burnout's website, they have either a lower lip for the RS front bumper, or the full front bumper replacement like that black car. The ones that VITT sells looks to be a replica... So I could get them cheap, but shipping will be a b*tch...
As for fitting it onto a USDM Yaris, it may or may not work. Due to the thicker impact protection bar thingies in the bumper, you may need to grind down or cut away some inner parts of the new bumper, I know this was the case with the members here who put in the C-ONE bumpers, and if you look into the first issue of Siphon magazine, they also mentioned that in one article.
So, if anyone wants to be a guinea pig and does not mind pretty high freight charges, I could look into this, and other replica body parts available here.

The wiring is different between USDM and our models, so most likely some rewiring will be needed.
As for the original JDM RS tails, I can get those too, but more expsnive than other sponsors here are offering, so it's not really worth it for you guys!
Anyway, should have all the stuff around the middle of next week

one would hope you could just take the two connectors and pop the wire ends out and match them up thats what i'm hoping for, thats why i want to see a diy if it's possible... that way there will be no cutting required...

I could go buy any generic molex connector with enough spaces in it for the amount of wires going to each tail light. Of course, I generally think molex connectors are a PITA and I will probably chump out and do it wire by wire. Rest assured however I go about it I'll write a DIY and take my time, because this is the fourth and final time I'm playing with these f'n tail lights!
With these lights and the new badges that are coming in a week or two, I promise you you've never seen a Yaris quite like what mine will look like in a bit. Stay tuned.

Still working things out for new stuff, I really want to be able to supply body kits, wait and see...
Looking into replicas of:
Burnout KD VII
Ings+1
C-ONE
RS front and rear bumpers
And original kits:
Arto/TRD widebody kit
TRD lip kits for sedan
They would be unpainted, but there is a solution to match color codes in the US/Canada and elsewhere. Basically, if the paint shop has a sample of your paint, they can recreate it. The best way to do this would be for you to mail me the little round tow hook cover from your front bumpers, and they can work from there.
But, the problem with shipping large, painted items is the risk of scratching while in transit, so I still would not recommend it.
Also, please keep in mind the bodykits are replicas, in other words, they will be a heck of a lot cheaper than the original JDM parts. We will get them from one of the best rated workshops here, so fit and finish should not be a problem. But, I don't have any more details to share at the moment, shipping is still a huge variable that we are working on.
Anyway if anyone else still wants stuff that's already up in this thread, lemme know!

From what I've seen of members in the US importing lip kits, the mud guards should fit, but the skirts will not, your bumpers are a lot deeper, so it won't match...

If it helps any, I deal with the shipping industry on a daily basis. FCL, LCL, Break bulk, Ocean/Air.
I've a good relationship with a few steamship lines and freight forwarders (the company I work for is considered a NVOCC, rates are competitive).

All right, here's a bit of an update!
To get started, the replica TRD gauge cluster:
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/gaugecluster.jpg
Firstly, the sizes of the holes for the gauges are:
Center hole: 9cm (a little more than 3.5")
Side holes: 5cm (2")
Secondly, the paint job on these is really not so good, very easily scratched. I would suggest buyers to put on an extra coat of good quality matt black paint.
Next, the replica RS Modellista taillights:
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/rsmodellista.jpg
They look very nice in person, as mentioned before, the side area is more of a chrome look than the original's satin finish. There's also a picture of the connector attached to it, I am not sure how the USDM Yarii taillights are connected, but it should not be too difficult to match the wires and splice as appropriate
The "Altezza" smoked LED lights:
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/altezzaLEDsmoked.jpg
Look surprisingly amazing in person... The cover is actually a bit darker than the picture shows, it would be very stealth when mounted in the car.
Here's the back of it, the plug is once again different from the modellista ones:
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/altezzaback.jpg
And, of course, the LED side mirrors!
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/mirror1.jpg
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/mirror2.jpg
One interesting thing is that these not only have orange lights for the blinkers, there are also white LEDs that can be wired into your illumination circuit, so that they come on when you turn on the headlights!
Here's the back with the three wires (ground, white lights, orange lights):
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/mirror3.jpg
I'll get my set installed ASAP and take pictures or even a video, it should not require any special skills or tools except maybe a soldering iron...
Lastly, the rear Netz emblem, it's in a sealed bag so I don't wanna open it without hasher22's permission
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/netzrear.jpg
So, here we are, one step closer to getting this done!!!
The Toyota stuff will be ready to pick up on Monday, so we can finally ship next week!
Also, I will be away for the next few days, going on a quick business trip, but will be back Sunday, so don't worry if I'm a bit slow in responding to any questions here!

Wow... looking at those smoked tails almost makes me think twice about my rear Modellista(ish) lights! I'm still thinking about possibly smoking these, so the chrome shouldn't look too chromey. I think they'll look great either way.
I'm super-stoked with the side mirrors! Nice to have the option to choose LED colors.
Now I really can't wait for the Toyota parts... :headbang:
More of these :coolpics: would be really appreciated, please... You know you want to!

Vios Muffler
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/viosmuffler1.JPG
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/viosmuffler2.JPG
Both of these will be very easy to put on, just align them and tighten those two screws using an appropriate hex wrench.
Manual Pedals
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/mtpedals.JPG
These are clip-on, you just need to pull out the old rubber ones and replace with these. The accelerator pedal is a little trickier as there is also a pin holding it in place, you will need a hammer and some kind of a punch to knock it out. The pedals are made of aluminium and those black circles are rubber pads.
Soft Luggage Tray
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/softluggage1.JPG
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/softluggage2.JPG
I must say this is very nice, it's a kind of thick rubberized cloth with a silvered embossed logo, and the edges are raised to prevent the spread of any spilled liquid.
Manual Gear Knob
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/mtknob.JPG
Made of pleather and painted metal, just screw out the old knob, and screw this one back in.
Center Console
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/centerconsole.JPG
Perhaps better known as the JDM center console, it's a handy place to keep CDs, and there's a fold out drink holder at the back. All mounting brackets and screws included, installation should not be too challenging.
Ignition Key Light
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/ignitionlight.JPG
This is pretty fancy, looks to be just a plug-and-play installation, electrics-wise.
Panel Box
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/panelbox.JPG
Basically just a set of doors for those pockets on either side of the AC controls. More or less snap-in installation.
Rear Bumper Step Guard
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/rearstepguard.JPG
Hard to take a picture of this one, but it's basically a sticky-backed piece, the instructions help in aligning it properly.
Yaris Spoiler
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/yarisspoiler1.JPG
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/yarisspoiler2.JPG
Perhaps the most eagerly awaited item! It's packed pretty tight in the box so I didn't really want to pull it out, but it comes with a template to align it properly.
Vios (sedan) Spoiler
http://www.etimago.com/yaris/accessories/actual/viosspoiler.JPG
Now this one will be a pretty involved installation, there's a lot more parts than I expected, braces and such, and of course the wiring for the built-in stop light.
And, to look over all this stuff and make sure no pesky rebels try to steal it all in the middle of the night...
