BEWARE: STOPTECH (CENTRIC) STAINLESS BRAKE LINES
So I had ordered a front and rear set of stoptech stainless lines for the turbo 2zr build. Upon arrival i thought something didn't look right. Mainly length of the lines. Ran out to the shed and grabbed the originals and low and behold, they're not the right length.
The rear lines were ordered for a 2012 Yaris SE model to fit my rear disk brake axle swap. The front lines were ordered for the 2007 Yaris that the car is. The front lines are too short and the rear lines are too long. From what little consumer info I can find on these lines, it would appear they were originally manufactured for the mr2. It would appear that stoptech just assumed these lines would fit 7-9 other Toyota models, as I've double and triple checked the part numbers and they appear to be correct. Currently waiting for my refund. DONT ORDER STOPTECH STAINLESS BRAKE LINES

Thanks for the info. I currently am on my second set of stoptechs for the front. They appeared to fit ok for me but my second set which has been installed when I had my BC coilovers on, seem to be slightly short when the car is up on jackstands.
Previous to me reading this thread I was going to order some Goodrich lines and give them a shot and see if they fit better. I'm curious if this is due to the lines being the slightly wrong size

I'm not even gonna try to install them. The ones I received are about 3-4 inches too short in the front and easily 4 inches too long in the rear. Obviously I'm worried about the fronts being tugged on/torn when at full steering lock and the rears I'm worried about excess stress on the fittings. Because of the excess length, there will be sharp bends at the fittings

A quick Google of goodridge lines didn't turn up much, anyone know a reputable seller from which to order?
Edit: just seen some agency power lines on ebay from micro image. Assuming left over stock? Seems like a complete set for less than a front only stoptech pair. Obviously won't fit the rear disk setup, but I have 2 Yari so they won't go to waste. Anyone care to chime in in the quality/fitment of these lines? I can only assume they are a good fit being from Garm

Oddly enough that's where I ordered the stoptech lines. I don't recall seeing the goodridge lines available. I'll check again though

Good to know. They pepper your roads with salt in the winter too? This will be a summer car but would be good to know if they lasted almost 10 years in a salt belt region too

^I have noticed they started doing this an absolute ton in my neck of the woods if the weather calls for anything below freezing in my neck of the woods.
I know the calcium chloride brine is much worse for corrosion, but costs less, but I can't help but wonder if it is better for cars that are yearly oil coated. With the traditional salt you can get a lot of chips in the paint which even oil coating has a hard time protecting against. With the brine you avoid many of these chips so as long as your car is coated every year is should keep the metal free of rust and corrosion. At least is makes sense when I think out loud As a side, this new brine solution everyone is using just highlights the short sightedness of our politicians. I have read so many quotes from local politicians saying how it saves the tax payer money. Let's be honest no money is going back in our pockets, they will just fond another place to spend it. Not to mention the premature damage to concrete infrastructure and rebar down the road

I think I remember hearing somewhere the brine was used over salt when certain weather conditions were expected. Better for flash freezing maybe? Don't quote me on this.
