Strange... With the more torque engine and the bigger wheels, it should be able to do 60mph in 8.5sec, even if it was loaded down with larger gearing (which would be a good thing in a more torque engine). Considering the extra weight for the performance/luxury add-ons and the heavier engine, power to weight ratio would still be similar, which explains some of the slowness, but it's still too slow.
If fuel consumption is still good and the exhaust/emission system can to tweaked to return some better speeds, it'd be clear winner (or maybe it's not possible cause that 1.8L engine isn't as good as it should be or the 1.5L is just too good ???) |
