has anyone here had problems with lightweight aftermarket rims warping or becoming damaged after driving through a pothole or anything like that? i'm looking to pick up some kosei k1 ts wheels because of their weight (<10 lbs for 14's) and price (about $100 a wheel.) should i be concerned about durability?

i think with any rim you should avoid potholes, etc

i had 18" OZ superleggeras and 17" flik ftd's on my matrix xrs way back when and never had issues with bends or anything

i think too if you stay with 14's youll have enough sidewall as a cusion that you wont really have worry about bending a rim unless you really hit a doozie..!

I would get them. Just do a good inspection of them when they get rotated, and certainly after an incident where you came in contact with a curb or the like. Though both of those things should be done regardless of the cost/type of rim you have.

I think your safe with 14's. There will be a lot of tire between the concrete and the rim.

You should be just fine with 14" wheels and tires... lots of sidewall with that application.

BTW, do you plan to install 205/60/14's?
