Eastwood thermo-coustic sound deadener... Is it any good?

Newegg (of all places) has this on sale for $17.99 (5 12" sheets). Does anyone have any advice on this? Looks promising at least...

Yikes... I'll just answer my own question then:

Absolutely unbelievable!! I have been using Eastwood products for almost 20 years and have had excellent results with quality and value. However this stuff is a F*&%en nightmare! I see "AL" s review and he is correct. I installed this in the summer in a garage that gets no more than 90 deg. It is now fall and always under 80-deg in the garage. This stuff is slipping dripping oozing all over the floor and car. It drips from every nook and cranny creating a horrible mess. I have ruined clothing and shoes. Removing it now would be like removing gum form ones hair. Trust me on this...I have restored plenty of cars..just stay away you will regret it!!. Eastwood did give a refund but the horrible mess is unacceptable. I can't express it enough!!! Taping over the seams and edges with the foil backed roofing tape from the home improvement stores helps somewhat. Our company will be at SEMA and I plan on discussing this with Eastwood at that time. I see some good reviews not sure how that can be unless there were some bad batches or lots sold.

I bought 4 boxes of this stuff on sale with free shipping about a year ago. I recently installed over a box of it under the top and on the firewall/cowl of my 67 GTO HT body when it was upside down on a rotisserie. The body is now on the frame and the material is melting/dripping/running/falling while the car is sitting in my shop, creating a sticky, gooey mess. We are having record high temperatures but the bare body in my shop isn't near as hot as the closed interior will get when in the sun or the firewall will get when the engine is running. It will be way too much work to remove the crap mechanically since adhesion is not the problem and some is under framework. No large pieces have fallen but a small piece under the cowl that did fall left behind a sticky layer of goo on the metal. What do I do now? I emailed Eastwood tech support and called/left a message but got no response. All I can think of is to try to seal the edges of the sheets with something like Flex Seal that will cure and hopefully keep the goo and aluminum film from dripping/floating off when the goo gets hot and liquefies. The picture is of a small scrap piece laying on a horizontal surface in my shop showing how the film just floats off. At this point I have spent almost $500 for a product that unsuitable for its intended use and the company won't even communicate with me about the issue. All I know is that I have a mess to clean up and won't be installing new carpet/headliner or instruments until something is done.

DO NOT BUY this product!! I can not stress enough how disappointed I am with this product. After 3 weeks of sitting in the garage I went out today to work on my project car. I found pools of tar all over the inside where edges of material where. I found the side had fallen down and left drips all down the sides. I moved the car outside to get a better look and found little pools of tar under the car everywhere. DO NOT Buy this product if you live in a warm climate. It has been in the 90's here for the last two weeks but my garage is shaded and has been in the 80's. I am so glad this happen before I had put the carpet in the car. Now I think I am going to remove all the material and start over. I just wasted a day and $149. DO NOT Buy, I can not stress this enough. Bad product. Here's a link to what I just used on Crashy 2, while I had her rear seat out, and I am extremely impressed with it. I used the entire 100 sq ft roll (~45 lbs) to do the entire floor from as far up the firewall as I could get without removing the entire dash to to the tip of the C pillars, where they meet the headliner. I also removed all of the interior trim panels and did every inch of the inside surface of the outer panels that I could reach, and the doors. I ran out before doing the hatch, so I actually need to get more to do that as well as the firewall to the windshield.
