Hi Everyone in YarisWorld

...thought I'd introduce myself.

I was on the market for a used car and I wanted to pay for half of it up front with 6 grand I had. That gave me a budget of around $12,000.00 and I drove a wide variety of cars. One day I found an ad for a former lease, 2009 Yaris hatchback in Carmine Red with the Power Package, cruise control, and the set of floor/cargo mats for 12,999. It had 5000 miles on it.

It was the smallest of all the cars I'd looked at, but, in the best condition of any I'd looked as well. It still smelled new! I got it for 12 even and was in and out fairly quickly. That was in January of this year; I believe I am the happiest with this purchase that I've been with any of the four cars I've owned. For the money it can't be beat.

I bought 15" x 6.5" alloy wheels from Toyota (they're Scion wheels, actually) and put on door sill protectors (to be corteous of my fellow drivers in parking lots :-D ). That's all for now. Next is the TRD handling bar.

I feel like the alloys shaved off some of weight that the steel wheels had. In any case the new Potenzas the car came with were transfered right over to the alloys b/c they're the same dimensions, and the TPMs went right over as well. Pretty neat.

I'm including some pictures for reference.

Cool man, good buy. Please check out my shop in Canoga Park, it's mostly for the Yaris community.

Looks good and congrats with the deal. The trd sway bar is well worth it, IMO.
Enjoy.

Welcome!

How many miles did the car have when you got it?
I would also suggest getting a v1 short shift kit (SSK) as a first mod. Pretty cheap and easy to put on (and take off).

Those wheels look great too!
