Sounds like a really fun (and ambitious) project, and you’ve clearly done more homework than most people who jump into a turbo build. The 2ZR should handle 6–7 psi just fine with a safe tune, especially since the Lotus runs boost from the factory. The biggest things I’d keep in mind are heat management around the turbo (blankets, shielding, protecting ECU and lines), plus making sure the fueling is solid—an upgraded pump (DW200/Walbro etc.) is cheap insurance compared to risking a lean condition.
The auto trans is the other weak point. While the U340/341 can live around 220–230 hp if treated gently, I’d absolutely consider a cooler to extend its life, and stick to the respectful driving style you mentioned. With good fueling, conservative tuning on the FIC, and proper oil/heat monitoring, you’re setting yourself up for a reliable low-boost setup. Looking forward to seeing progress once you can get the car into the garage. ________________________ https://www.medipakiet.pl/blog/alkom...ne-jak-dziala/ |
