Aren't they like khakis? Maybe his club doesn't like casual slacks.

The lights looks great.... however If your car is a show car that is a sweet looking ride. But if you are going to be driving it on the street. Your light will blind oncoming traffic and cause accident. That is why they were asking you about the light cut off. We dont' just want good looking cars, we also want a safe car.

Chinos = chineese in spanish. Or maybe something ... hahaha I understand what he is saying.

And guys please stop bombing the dude he just wanted to show his HID. They looks great. Would they perform great? Who cares thats not the point of the post. And if he belongs to a club we should be at least proud that some club accepts a low budget car thats nothing but a echo with a facelift. By the way does anyone here belongs to any other Car Club?

mmmmm, guys, i think his HID is awesome looking, and he got a real good deal, if his light is really aiming to high and blinding others, that would be his problem, we dont need to get into his business, and others will blink him to let him know, lets just all respect what everybody does and what everybody likes here on the fourm, say postive thing and commons, im sure you wouldnt like it, if others said bad commons and bad things about what you do or what you like

your car does look nice, but as others have said, there is some concern with HID in a reflector housing....and there really are some jerks on this forum...but you should still try and get your aiming under control, before someone does get in an accident, or the cops get you ;)

and who knows, the cutoff might be spot on....

Your HID and HID fog lamp together do look very sick, which is very nice.

However, if you can do something to it to not blind other driver that much would be even better. You don't want them to hurt your baby by accident

We should all appreciate other people's hard work whether it is good or bad, there are always room for improvement and be supportive. We are all Yaris lover that is what matters.

All in all good job elsteverino889 on your sick looking HID

but I think I'll go with a 6000K Kit

as Violin says I think more K's = Darker = Less light

Knowone was attacking you, I just think you need to read up on the K rating of HIDs. All you have now is a cool color and what you think may be a brighter light. Drop it down a few thousand K, like 6-7,000k for example, and you will still have the nice color your going after, but gain much more usable light output.

Trust me when I was purchasing my HID's I knew the visability of the 10000k is less than the lower K HID's but I wanted blue blue so thats why im extremely happy with my product and any HID I dont care what K it is will always be better than any halogen light so I'm str8 its not like im decreasing sight all I wanted was color not performance.

Just thought I would pipe up here. I read these forums frequently, much more frequently than I post. I think that Chris07LB has provided some great advice, great mod ideas, and I have actually followed some of it and been very happy with the results. ChinoCharles and violin have also have a lot of great insights. I hope that this "bad blood" doesn't turn you guys off of posting. I really do enjoy reading what you guys are doing. Who are the mods on this site? It would be great if they could try to keep this sort of thing under control. If someone needs to get booted, then booted they should be IMHO.

I completely understand the concept of your car as art. I agree that the blue lights look pretty, especially on a dark car like that. If someone posts a thread about painting their seats and headliner pink or something that I don’t think is attractive, I just won’t comment. These high Kelvin HID kits are another matter – they’re dangerous to the driver and everyone else on the road. You can’t expect to post about your hazardous modification and expect everyone to give you a resounding “atta boy!”.

If you want to post a shot of the beam on a light colored wall from 25 – 50 feet away that proves me wrong, I’ll apologize and shut up. The glare in the photos posted above is obvious – just the photos of the fogs hurts my eyes – there should be zero glare above the cutoff on a fog lamp – all that glare would be reflected back at the driver in fog conditions.

I guess I could have saved time and just referenced this thread: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/view...r=asc&&start=0

I figured that someone posting on a public forum would be mature enough to accept a little constructive criticism and not resort to childish name calling and (worse) racist insults. This is an international forum and the diversity here is one of its strengths. I think the mods should develop terms of participation that explicitly prohibit racial/ethnic insults and boot those who violate them.

If some of the comments were a little harsh, understand that guys are sometimes verbally rough with each other – it’s a male bonding thing that weeds out the more sensitive types. Consider yourself culled.

Chris, Chino, Eco, and Violin... Provide this forum with the information and incite that shut down all the other Yaris Forums... Those 4 are the reason you are on this site reading about HIDs... And personally if given the choice I would much rather have their Sarcasm and incite then your Ignorance and negativity... All you see when you look at there post numbers is a lack of free time… but you have no idea how many people they have helped, and how many questions they have answered for Newbie’s… They have saved hundreds of people time and money… And those "Butt Buddies" your talking about make the products that no other company thinks is worth making... and on top of that give us a discount... so we should support them first and foremost…they too are the reason you are here... But I understand, you are just so much better then any of us, I mean where would this site be without your… umm… I’m sorry what have you done for the Yaris Enthusiasts Community? So back off!

I take them… and their cars…seriously... It’s you I consider a joke!

Thanks for the support fella's. I, like a lot of the guys here, try and post up helpful info, all while sharing a few laughs in between. I talk to a few members here on the phone, and others that have called me for advice in the past.

Mods will be notified, and they can decide if we want these types of members as part of our "family."

You have something against Chinese people?

If you do, bring this attitude elsewhere.

I'm not totally sure the "Chino" comment was a racist comment (although thats what I assumed), but if it was that is pretty sad, because I'm not even Chinese. I'm white as could be halfway through another Ohio winter.

I can totally understand people getting fired up over comments here. I get pissed sometimes too. Its natural in a place where everyone feels passionately about the same thing with different viewpoints. It doesn't mean you have to let it get to you. It certainly doesn't mean you have to or ought to write long-winded posts attacking members of the forums. If you do either of those two things, then not only did you get flamed, but now you look immature too.

I hope this doesn't come to mods stepping in and accounts getting deleted, because people make mistakes and so do parents. You guys just need to learn to lighten up.
