Just curious by what you mean by "my car says" Is it like knightrider? And it told you personally, Or is it listed in your owners manual - or on your window sticker, or written on the A pillar? Cause I remember seeing all the airbags in the brochure and then finding out that it wasnt standard equipment.

I can take pics so you can see what I mean if you want... As for my concern for others, see the comment about removing safety equipment being population control...

![]() Nardi Steering Wheel Works Bell "Shorty" hub Works Bell Quick Release Horn Still works NO AIRBAG LIGHT (used resistor supplied with Works Bell hub) Thomas, I think yours might need a different size resistor, let me know if you need help figuring it out, there is no reason why your airbag light should stay on. I purchased all of the above from Works Bell USA, www.aspecproducts.com |

I didn't say you removed your safety equipment. I said that I don't think that is a good idea. You ridiculed me because of my "concern for others safety". My opinion is that an aftermarket wheel looks good, but is not worth it due to the safety loss...understand?

If I'm crawling up your ass, you might need to clinch it tighter. I'm not intentionally doing it. I was responding to a couple posts from people that feel that an airbag is more dangerous than not having one. I have an inside perspective because my girlfriend it a paramedic who sees bad stuff daily, and she thinks airbags are lifesavers (not the candy). I'll believe her...

Also, for those worried about the force of the airbag deploying, and how they can be used for fun to jettison things into the air, you should rather worry if you do not. They deploy with such force in order to inflate in the milliseconds that exist before you come into contact with the steering wheel. It's effect is simple physics Force = mass * acceleration and acceleration = change in velocity / change in time it is easy to see then that by increasing the time it takes for your body to go from (let's say) 35 mph (~56 Kmh) you decrease the acceleration, which in turn, reduces the amount of force that your body experiences. |
