Many of us do. Refrigerating oils keeps them from going rancid.

I usually eat peanut butter right out of the jar or add it to oatmeal or quinoa. Stuff doesn't go too well with bread for me.

Now on the other hand some hummus, heavy on the garlic, is great on bread. So are oily anchovies right out of the can combined with pureed garlic. Spread the pureed garlic and top it with a couple of anchovies. Naturally this isn't good for the breath but a nice mint takes care of that.

Lately I've read that anchovies can carry toxiplasmosis so I've laying off of them but a good habit is hard to break.
