Tht's a little harsh there, jambo. All of my kids started with bangers, and went on to buy reasonable cars. At present, only 2 of the 4 have actually bought new, and both of those were in the last year (these are 26 and 28 yr olds). My other two are driving 2nd hand cars that are better than the beaters they started with, but still secoind hand form the "lower" end of the spectrum.
My first Yaris was MY first-ever new car, and I'm 54 now. Kids only know what they are taught, and some of us teach our kids right.

Wasnt meant to be a blanket condemnation of all young kids only the ones fresh out of school and signing contracts for new cars they cant afford.
