The other day I was at a small music store looking at CDs. The owner was protectively eye-balling me because his daughter (assuming) was standing behind me looking at the opposite shelf, which I wasn't aware of. I take a step back and stumble on her heel. Instinctively I reach back to break my fall just to end up grabbing a handful of ass (a nice tight one too). I was pretty sure everyone there saw it. Even though I sincerely apologized to her and she thought nothing of it, the owner looked uber-pissed. It was time to high-tail it outta there and never come back...

OK, anyone ever did this?

* hitting "reply to all" by accident (or worse, sending the email to the wrong person!)

* thinking there is absolutely nobody around to hear it and letting out a loud fart, only to realize that I wasn't alone

* putting something on the top of your car, getting in your car, and driving off... (that happened to my Dad once, he put his camera on top of the car and forgot it)

i almost lost my job doing that back in the day..

one of my really big customers sent a request for "return" for some products he'd allegedly purchased from us. well, he HAD purchased them before.. ONE piece.

he was trying to return 12 of them.

hit reply to all (because my team-leader was in the email) and neglected removing the customer from the address list.

and said..

is this guy serious? what an idiot, he's only bought 1 from us

yeah..... didn't go over well.

At Starbucks when I tried really hard to let it rip slowly and quietly. I had to put alot of pressure on it, so in the end everyone heard it

My ArtBin on the roof of my car while on the phone. I didn't realize it until I heard it slide-off and hit the pavement. By the time I pulled over another car had already smashed it to pieces

ouch!

How about this one. E-mailing my buddy's girlfriend a politically incorrect / crude/ offensive Irish-in-a bar joke, and getting an email back from her saying "Why thank you, by the way, I am Irish, and yes, we do like our drinks ... " ooops

I was clipped in to the pedals and as I lost all forward progress and pumped hard to try to power out of it all I managed was to power myself right into the ground. I did this right in front of a park full of people and got so twisted up on the ground that I had to unclip my left foot with my hands to start the process of getting back up.
Similar story about my first mountain bike with pedal clips. I clipped in my new shoes, pedalled out the back of the store to their parking lot and realized I never learned how to unclip. A car approached so I slowed to a completed stop and then just flopped over bike and hall onto the blacktop. I had to lay there until the bicycle store people ran over and show me how to unclip my feet.

I was working on a project on part of a device while two more experienced people were working nearby. They kept dumping state data and being less than helpful.

My boss accidentally shifted the deadline back a day because he wrote up an email wrong on his crackberry. I told the guys about the email and they quit what they were doing to help me. One of them was the systems architect and banged out the work very fast.

I congratulated my boss on his mistake, and was so pleased that I laughed. He mocked my laughter. I figured he was pissed at me, thinking I was laughing at him rather than being pleased, so I had some explaining to do.

Wasn't so much dumb as me being a bit out of the ordinary at what amuses me, but it came off sounding dumb.

One job I worked at one of my coworkers and I had a mutual attraction going.

One day I took a break from work I was wearing some protective gear that had a bowknot to keep it on me.

She decided it's be fun to untie the knot. Wouldn't you know just as she pulled the knot free I farted?

Damn!

I used to wear scrubs at one job. One day while I was talking to a rather lovely nurse something slipped out of my underwear and was poking against the scrubs. I was not aroused or anything just how the clothes all ended up being arranged.

She noticed my junk and started staring. I mean like deer in the headlights staring. Talking to me the whole time without moving her eyes.

So... guys... what do you do? The business end of your junk is basically hanging out there, she's married, she's already nailed one guy for sexual harassment, she's staring at your junk with rapt fascination.... and you think she's cute so you're not going to shrink up and vanish out of sight. Sure as heck don't want to say, "Okay, Kxxxx, let me put this away, okay?". She'd run to the office screaming murder.

I have to stand and take it until she'd done giving orders to me.

If she'd been single or hadn't been a snitch I might have given her more of a thrill but here I am wondering if I'm going to HR while she's just staring and staring....

Finally I was rescued by a phone call... Put him away soon after.
