Painted Instrument Panels
Well I got bored today and decided to paint my instrument panels and door panels. I have to re-do them when I have a chance some of it cracked already on the driver and passenger panels only for some reason
Here is what I used: and here is how it came out... (I'm going to plan on making a small stencil to spray paint the TRD symbol on the bottom of the instrument panel. |

IMO it's too bright of a color to use. I used flat black and I think it looks it should of from the factory.

I have some re-painting to do now that it's has been a while since I last sprayed panels. I am curious though what your plan is... Will you re-sand since you clear coated, and what grit paper? Since I am sticking with my same color I am thinking of wet sanding with 1000 just to take a bit off before re-spraying, and just go with the main color and not deal with re priming. Your thoughts/plans? |
