Why do sales reports at auto parts stores show other filter companies such as Wix and Fram, selling more filters than K&N during 1 year?

Great idea...surprised that I didn't think of that first. Never tried it, but if one were to go to...say...WalMart, the mall for a day, or any place with lots of traffic and ask young & old, male & female, ask them if they know what filter they use, maybe 90+% of the time they won't say K&N?

Another question about the K&N claim. When they say "Increase horsepower and acceleration," what.
