I have the 2008 version of the same car and certainly recommend it.
Look for a local credit union that you can join for a $50 savings deposit. You should be able to get a credit union loan that is a much lower payment than what they have. The value should be higher than that price and you shouldn't have a problem getting the credit union to issue a check to pay off their loan. (if you ask nicely) It may be that they were trying to pay it down quickly with a 3 year loan or may have had a high rate. For example : $300 down, $7K loan, 4 yr @5.5% = $163/mo If you look hard enough you might find a 4% loan... |
