So the belt is non-interference and the chain is interference? I didn't know.

thats not true. a timing belt motor can also be an interference motor and chain can be a non-interference motor as well.

:)

mikenacarato...that's true too, some motors can be flip-flopped the other way around.

Is that the new Corolla engine? It looks clean and simple. By the size of the alternator, it looks like it can be used for larger cars.
