We don't really Drive the Mustang that much. Its our Weekend car it's mostly parked in the drive way. Insurance and maintenance is not much at all since we don't drive it. We bought the car in 2008 with like 50.000 miles on it now it has 53.000 shows how much we drive it lol.

Honestly, that sound more like a reason to get rid of it! Most likely you are paying a lot more insurance on it versus your Yaris, even if you don't drive it much; and we all know it costs more to operate. Appeal to your wife's maternal instincts, tell her the kids will never be safe in that car and that a minivan makes more sense.
