Use sound deadening on roof?

Yes! if you care about weight, don't do this at home!

I'm about to do the front wheel wells on the outside the rear wheel wells are treated from the inside, same for the front near the firewall. I noticed on some luxury cars that the rear wheel wells are covered with some thing like an "all weather rug" (some thing like turf but not green) that really absorbs the noise of the water splashing inside the wheel wells.

Check this video and you'll see why I'm going to do all the front fenders and hood...
